Embed content within posts
Last updated: April 06, 2025
With the embed feature, you can seamlessly incorporate interactive media directly into your posts.
About embeds
Whether you're adding a video, image, social media post, or another type of media, embeds make it easy to display rich content right inside your post. This creates a smoother, more engaging experience by allowing members to interact with external content without navigating away.
We support over 1,900 providers through IFramely, including popular platforms like YouTube, Calendly, Typeform, Spotify, Google Docs, and Dropbox.
You can embed content using a URL when creating or editing a post through a web browser or mobile app, including your branded app. Once you have embedded content from supported media providers, it will typically display across all platforms—this includes web browsers, Circle’s mobile apps, and your branded mobile apps.
📚 For more details about embeds and how they appear on mobile apps, see Guide to embedding media in your community.
Embedding media into posts
To embed an external media when creating or editing your post, follow these steps:
-
In the text editor, type the forward-slash (/) command where you want to embed media or click the ➕ icon at the bottom bar to access the menu.
From the menu, select one of the providers from the embed section or select Embed.
-
Enter the URL of the media from the embed provider.
-
❗Important: Inserting an embed code directly into the embed URL field won’t work. If you want to use custom HTML code to embed media, you can do this in posts through post settings. For more information, see Embed custom HTML code within posts.
-
Click Embed media.
