Join a live room

You can join a live room in your community using a desktop, a mobile browser, or the Circle iOS or Android app.

Let's explore the various ways you can join the live room, depending on the setup the admin chooses.

When the admin starts a live room in the community, you will receive an in-app notification. A banner also appears at the bottom-left corner of the sidebar in your account when the admin is live in the community.

1. To join the live room from an in-app notification or banner:

   1. In-app notification: Click the Notifications tab on the left sidebar, and click the live notification under the Inbox tab.

   2. Live banner: Click the Join in the banner located in the lower-left corner.

2. On the preview screen:

   • Click the Microphone or Camera icons to turn them on/off.

   • Click Device settings ⚙️ to configure the following:

     • Camera input

     • Blur your background

     • Mirror your video input

     • Microphone input and audio output

     • Background noise suppression

   • Check your connection quality.

3. Once ready, click Join live room.

If the admin or live participant has shared the live room URL with you:

1. Open the link in the browser.

2. On the preview screen: 

   • Click the Microphone or Camera icons to turn them on/off.

   • Click Device settings (⚙️) to configure the following:

     • Camera input

     • Blur your background

     • Mirror your video input

     • Microphone input and audio output

     • Background noise suppression

   • Check your connection quality.

3. Once ready, click Join live room.

1. Navigate to the event space and click the event title.

2. Click Join this room under Location.

   

3. On the preview screen: 

   • Click the Microphone or Camera icons to turn them on/off.

   • Click Device settings (⚙️) to configure the following:

     • Camera input

     • Blur your background

     • Mirror your video input

     • Microphone input and audio output

     • Background noise suppression

   • Check your connection quality.

4. Once ready, click Join live room.

💡 Tip: You can also navigate to the events page directly in your community, via an in-app event reminder notification or from the event RSVP email.

When the admin is live in the community, you'll receive the in-app and push notifications on your mobile app.

To join the live room from an in-app or push notification:

1. Tap the push notification. If you are already in the app, tap Notifications 🔔 on the control bar, go to the Inbox tab, and then select the live notification.

2. Tap the Microphone or Camera icons to turn them on/off.

3. Once ready, tap Join as a co-host.

2. Tap the Link located in ‌the Circle Live section.

3. Tap the Microphone or Camera icons to turn them on/off.

4. Once ready, tap Join as a co-host.
