About members analytics
Understanding member activity and engagement is crucial for the health and growth of your community. Member analytics provides several key metrics to help you monitor and optimize member participation.
This dashboard helps you provide answers to questions such as:
-
How many members are actively engaging with the community?
Check out active member metrics to get a picture of engagement levels. See the Active members graph to track changes in active members over time and identify patterns, such as increases or decreases in engagement during specific periods. You can also utilize filters such as member tags, space groups, event spaces, and more to narrow down the data results for specific segments.
-
Who are the most engaging members of the community?
Identify engaging members using various leaderboards, such as Top members and Active commenters. These leaderboards help you recognize and reward members who contribute significantly to the community by posting, commenting, and resonating with community members. You can also utilize filters to narrow down leaderboard data for specific segments.
-
Where are the members geographically located?
Utilize the Member distribution by country map. Knowing the geographic distribution of your members allows you to tailor content and engagement strategies to different regions and address the specific interests of members from various parts of the world.
Access the members dashboard
To access the dashboard, click Analytics in the left sidebar, then select Members.
ℹ️ Note: Member activity metrics, including DAU, MAU, and active session tracking, are measured using real-time, client-side tracking for improved accuracy. Learn more about how this works here.
Optimize dashboard usage with the following options
Member type: Filter analytics data by roles within your community. By default, the member option is selected, which includes both member and moderator roles. You can choose to include admin roles in the analytics data by selecting the admin option in the filter.
Filters: Utilize filters to segment your data by member tags, profile fields, space members, space group members, join dates, and more.
Date range (time frame): Narrow down the data to the specific time frame for detailed analysis. You can select a predefined date range or set a custom date range.
Data grouping: Use data grouping options to analyze graph data within the dashboard at specific intervals, such as daily, weekly, and monthly.
Data sorting: Sort data within leaderboards and the heat map by clicking column titles. Depending on the data type, you can sort by value (lowest to highest) or alphabetically.
Previous period comparison: Compare your current metrics to historical performance from the previous period, month or year to understand how your metrics are trending over time. Choose your reference from the comparison dropdown next to the date range.
Highlight graph data: Hover over the values in the graph to enhance your viewing experience. This will highlight the relevant bars/data points within the graph for better visibility. When relevant, you can also see detailed data for the particular bar or data point on hover.
Download results: You can easily export graphs, tables, and other data from analytics to your device in formats such as CSV, XLSX, or JSON. Simply hover over it, click the More actions (three dots) icon, and select Download results. Then, choose your preferred format to save the file.
