# Verify your SSO connection

When you set up single sign-on (SSO) in your community, our verification tool helps you check your SSO connection and review verification logs.

Here’s how to use our verification tool to assess your SSO connection.

## Step 1: Enable SSO

1. Click the community name or logo (or the dropdown icon next to it) in the top-left corner and select  **Settings**.

2. Scroll down to the  **Community**  section and select  **Single sign-on**.

3. Enable the SSO feature in your community.

4. Once the SSO is enabled, the  **Verify SSO connection**  option will appear on the header of the SSO settings page.

## Step 2: Initiate verification

1. Click **Verify SSO connection**.  

1. You will be directed to your SSO provider’s login page. Log in using your SSO credentials.

2. Authorize Circle to access your basic profile information by clicking **Allow** to proceed to the verification tool.

> ℹ️  **Note:** If you encounter an error after clicking the Verify SSO connection option, double-check that your SSO setup fields, including client ID, secret key, auth URL, etc., have the correct information. Once you've ensured the accuracy of your setup, you'll be able to access the tool by following the steps mentioned above.

## Step 3: Review SSO connection logs

Upon verifying your connection, you will be taken to the status page, where you can see the verification results, including logs.

> ℹ️ Note: This is an experimental feature designed to assist developers in verifying their custom OAuth 2.0 single sign-on (SSO) connection with Circle. Depending on the complexity of the error you encounter with your SSO connection, you may require additional investigation and troubleshooting.

A successful verification will be accompanied by a banner and detailed logs of the verification steps. Expand each section to see the specifics of each log.

If the verification fails, a banner will appear notifying the failure of the connection, and the logs of the failed verification step will be expanded.
