In this article, we will explore details, including who has the capability to share posts and the step-by-step process to share them. > ℹ️  **Note:** The option to share posts is unavailable for communities currently on a trial plan. Once you upgrade your community to a paid plan, you’ll gain the ability to share posts. ## Who can use the post sharing feature The availability of the post sharing feature depends on the user roles within your community and the access levels set for your community and spaces. Here's a breakdown: - **Public spaces in a public community:** Members, moderators, and admins can share the post. - **Private or secret spaces in a public community:** Only admins and moderators have the ability to share posts. - **Private community:** Irrespective of space access, only admins and moderators can share posts. It’s crucial to note that when a space is private, or the community is private, the post sharing feature is limited to admins and moderators. This is to prevent members from sharing sensitive and private information from the space. If you wish to enable members to share posts from a private space or community, you can create a share link using your admin account and share it with them. This allows for controlled sharing while maintaining privacy. > ℹ️  **Note:** The ability to share posts from private space or private community with minimal and/or teaser-only layout is available on desktop and mobile web browsers. On Circle mobile apps, you can only share a post URL. ## Share posts from open spaces of a public community Sharing public posts can boost your community visits as visitors are more likely to explore other areas of your community when they come across a post. When you share a post from the open space of your public community, here's what happens: - **Viewing the post:** Individuals with the post’s share link can view the post and its associated comments. - **Commenting:** For logged out members, there will be a **Log in** option under the comment section, allowing them to log in to their community account to post a comment. - **Visitor sign up:** If you have enabled visitor sign up in your community settings, visitors will have the option to **Sign up** under the comments section, giving them the opportunity to become a member and participate in the discussion. To share the post URL, click **Share** next to the post title and then click **Copy** to save it to your clipboard. > ❗️ **Important** : To ensure visitors can view the shared post, toggle on **Show to logged out users** in your space settings. Here's what happens when you share a post from the open space of a private community: - **Viewing the post:** Individuals with the post's link can view the post. However, its associated comments will be hidden for logged out members and visitors. - **Call-to-action:** If you have set the call-to-action in your community settings, it will be automatically displayed to logged out members and visitors at the bottom of the post. - **Commenting:** In case you haven't set the call-to-action in your community settings, logged out members and visitors will see a **Log in** option under the comment section if they would like to post a comment. To share the post, follow these steps: 1. Click **Share** next to the post title and then turn on the **Share to web** toggle. 2. If you would like to display only a teaser of the post to visitors, turn on the **Teaser only** toggle. 3. As an admin or moderator, you have the flexibility to share this post content with a wider audience who may not have access to your community or the private space without compromising the privacy of your community or space. Let’s take a look at some key things about sharing posts from private space: - **Unique shared links:** The shared links are unique and non-guessable, ensuring they are accessible only to those with whom you share the link. - **Access for anyone with the link:** The unique link you share allows anyone with a link to access posts, including non-space members, logged out members, and visitors. - **Customizable layout:** When sharing a post from a private space in your community, you have the option to customize the layout for post appearance, making it a teaser and/or minimal layout. - **Comments access:** Visitors, non-space members, and logged out members cannot see comments. Instead, they are presented with a default call-to-action at the bottom of the post. To share the post from private spaces, follow these steps: 1. Click **Share** next to the post title and then turn on the **Share to web** toggle. 2. You can choose an additional layout option: 3. After adjusting the layout preference, click the **Copy** icon to save it to your clipboard. ![](https://assets-v3.circle.so/k3wbatyxt2bq29z3hisy3a9gefxu) ## Customize layout and call-to-action When you are sharing posts from a private space, you have the flexibility to configure the layout and include a call-to-action. ### Teaser only layout The teaser layout is an excellent way to provide a sneak peek of your post by displaying only a portion of the content. Before copying the link, simply turn on the **Teaser only** toggle. ### Minimal layout The minimal layout feature allows you to present your shared content without distractions. When you use this layout, everything except the content is hidden from your community. When you share it with anyone, they'll see the post without the community header and sidebar. ℹ️ It’s crucial to note that minimal layout is enforced by default for private communities to protect your community information. When sharing a post from a private space of a public community, you can turn on the **Minimal layout** toggle to enable this layout. ![](https://assets-v3.circle.so/r98kx7fr875t3vzkomyp4o80ed3z) ### Call-to-action The call-to-action is displayed on shared posts for both visitors and logged out space members, positioned at the bottom of the post. To configure the call-to-action, follow these steps: 1. Click the community name or logo in the top-left corner and select  **Settings**. 2. Scroll to the **Default** section and turn on the **Customize call-to-action for private post share links** toggle. 3. In the editor, provide the following information: 4.
