# Change skin tone of emojis

Customize the skin tone of numerous emojis to better reflect your own. In this guide, we'll show you how to personalize your emojis on a desktop with the skin tone that suits you best.

> ℹ️ **Note:** If you're using emojis from the Circle mobile app or browser, you can select the skin tone using your device's emoji picker. The skin tone you pick from mobile won’t affect your preference on desktop.

To change the skin tone in the post editor:

1. In the post editor, click the **Emoji** icon located at the footer of the editor.

2. Click the **Tone** icon beside the search field and select the new tone.

Choosing a skin tone will update the emojis in your library for post, comment, and chat editors. It will also set this skin tone as the default for your future emoji library use.

If you would like to update the skin tone from the comment editor, click the **Emoji** icon at the bottom of the editor and then select the **Tone** icon in the bottom-right corner of the emoji picker.
