You have the flexibility to give your community members the power to host live sessions using Circle live in your community. In this article, we will guide you through enabling this option and provide important considerations to keep in mind.

## Key things to consider before enabling members to go live

Before enabling this option, it's crucial to consider certain aspects of the Circle live feature, especially how members use it.

### **Access to live feature**

Enabling members to go live extends the Circle live feature to all community members, allowing them to initiate live streams or rooms at any time within your community.

❗When members are granted access to go live, **they gain access to the same live configuration choices and hosting capabilities as admins** , including:

- Setting up the live session.

- Inviting participants and co-hosts.

- Appointing live moderators.

- Managing participants and live chat during the live session.

Additionally, if you've enabled members to create events within event spaces, they can schedule live events via the **Go live** button.

> ℹ️ **Note:** Allowing only certain groups of members to go live is not possible via this option. If you are looking to allow only certain members of your community to go live, we suggest creating an event space for these members and [allowing them to create events](/p/live-and-events/events/allow-your-members-to-create-events) within that space. This way, event space members can schedule events with Circle live locations.

### Live limits

It's important to understand that when members use the live feature, it counts toward the [**live usage limit**](https://help.circle.so/p/live-and-events/live-management/view-and-increase-the-live-limits-of-your-community-plan) specified in your community plan. Therefore, we strongly advise enabling this feature with great caution.

Frequent use of the live feature by members can quickly deplete your live limits, particularly the monthly hours. If your live limits are reached, the **Go live** button will be disabled for your members.

> ℹ️ **Note:** If any of your live usage limits reaches 90% usage within your community, an email will be sent to all admins.

## Allow members to go live

1. Click the community name or logo (or the dropdown icon next to it) in the top-left corner and select **Settings.**

2. Scroll down to the **Website** section and select **General**.

3. Turn on the **Allow members to go live** toggle in the **Defaults** section.

4. Click **Save changes**.

All members in your community will now be able to see the **Go live** option in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
