# Set up a welcome banner for your event space

A custom welcome banner lets you craft an inviting welcome message, delivering key information or announcements at the top of your event space.

This banner is displayed to all event space members. Additionally, if you have set your space access to open, you have the option to set up a separate welcome banner for your non-space members.

> ℹ️ **Note** : The welcome banner only appears when the event space layout is set to list layout.

## Set up a welcome banner

1. Click  **Community**  in the left sidebar, then select  **Spaces**.

2. Click **More actions (three dots)** next to the space name. Then select  **Edit space**.

3. Navigate to the  **Customize**  tab.

4. In the welcome banner section, turn on the **Enable for space members** toggle and customize the following:

If your space is set to open, navigate to the **Non-members** tab in the welcome banner section and follow the same steps as above to set up a separate banner for non-space members.

## Reset members’ welcome banner preference

When the **Allow**  **members to close the welcome banner** toggle is enabled, members can close the banner anytime. Please note that non-space members cannot close the welcome banner regardless of this toggle.

You can, however, reset the banner preferences for all members and display the welcome banner again.

To reset the banner preference, in the **Allow members to close the welcome banner** toggle description, click **Reset members’ closed banner preferences**. In the confirmation dialog, click **Confirm**.
