Circle’s branded apps include the Meta and Google (Firebase) SDKs. Once configured, these allow you to track key “events” inside your branded app. Event tracking is typically used to understand how users discovered your app, measure marketing performance, and track key user actions in your app.

Currently, our SDKs tracks numbers of the following events:

- App installs

- Sign-up flow started (user clicked the sign up button)

- Sign-up flow completed

## Meta (Facebook) Setup

The steps below take place in [**Meta for Developers**](https://developers.facebook.com/apps). Before you begin, please ensure that you have admin/developer access and are working in the correct Meta app for this project.

For a step-by-step guide through all three steps to locate the necessary Meta SDK credentials, you can watch this [**video**](https://www.loom.com/share/3b941b992bac4ddaaccefb7d9c1d4620) or follow the steps below:

### Step 1: Locate the App ID

1. Open the Meta app dashboard for the correct app.

2. Go to **Settings → Basic**.

3. Copy the **App ID** and send us the **numeric App ID.**

### Step 2: Locate the Display Name

1. In the Meta app dashboard, go to **Settings → Basic**.

2. Copy the **Display Name** exactly as shown.

3. Send us the name exactly as it is shown, capitalization and spaces unchanged.

### Step 3: Locate the Client Token

1. In the Meta app dashboard, go to **Settings → Advanced**.

2. In the **Security** section, locate the **Client Token**.

3. Copy and send the token value.

> ❗️ **Important:** The Client Token is **different** from the App Secret. Please do **not** send us the App Secret.

## Google Firebase

The steps below take place in your [**Firebase Console**](https://console.firebase.google.com/). While some files may look similar, these are not the same credentials you’ve provided for other parts of your app set up.

### Step 1: Locate the GoogleService-Info.plist (for iOS apps)

1. In a web browser, navigate to [**Firebase Console**](https://console.firebase.google.com/).

2. Select your project.

3. If you’ve already registered your iOS app:

4. If you haven’t registered your iOS app yet:

### Step 2: Locate the google-services.json (for Android apps)

1. This step is also in your [**Firebase project console**](https://console.firebase.google.com/).

2. Select the **Android app** from the **Your apps** card.

3. If already registered:

4. If not yet registered:

### Step 3: Locate the android\_service.json (for service accounts / admin SDK)

📚 Here is a [**video**](https://www.loom.com/share/019f414c508b448b9e81c2c248d0a3cb) guiding you through the steps outlined below.

1. In [**Firebase Console**](https://console.firebase.google.com/), click the **gear icon → Project settings**.

2. Go to the **Service accounts** tab.

3. Under **Firebase Admin SDK** , click **Generate new private key.**

4. This will download a JSON file (often named something like project-id-firebase-adminsdk-xxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx.json).

5. You can rename it to yourappname\_android\_service.json

## Where to send these credentials

Once you collect the details above, please send them to [branded-apps@circle.co](mailto:branded-apps@circle.co) and cc your Customer Success Manager.

- **If you send the credentials before your app is live:** We’ll include them in the initial app review cycle.

- **If you send the credentials after your app is live:** We’ll need to resubmit your app to both the App Store and Google Play Store for review.
