The page builder is a powerful, entirely visual drag-and-drop system that makes it easy for anyone to build stunning web pages with little to no dev experience.

## Getting to know the page builder

The page builder view is structured around these key sections:

**Header options**

The header menu gives you quick access to key actions and page information, including:

- **Pages dropdown:** The pages dropdown on the left of the header menu lets you switch between pages without leaving the page builder.

- **Version history:** Review and restore previous versions of your page.

- **Saved changes indicator:** See whether your latest edits have been saved.

- **Undo & Redo:** Quickly reverse or reapply recent changes.

- **Preview in full screen:** Preview your page in full screen across devices.

- **Save:** Manually save your changes.

- **Publish page:** Publish your page to go live.

**Preview pane**

The preview pane lets you see the page come together in real time as you build it. From the bottom toolbar, you can easily switch between desktop, tablet, and mobile views to see how your content will look on different devices.

You can also toggle between light and dark mode and adjust the zoom level, helping you fine-tune your page before publishing.

**Left sidebar**

The left sidebar contains the tools you need to start building your page.

- **Blocks:** Blocks serve as the foundation of your web page and can be customized to fit your brand and use case.

- **Elements:** The elements section contains items such as Headings, buttons, images and links.

- **Design:** The design section lets you customize your website’s branding and site theme.

- **Page settings:** Configure settings such as page name, access control, SEO and custom code for the specific page you’re building.

- **Site settings:** Configure site wide settings such as navigation, SEO, redirects and default pages for members.

**Right sidebar editor**

The right sidebar lets you fine-tune the content and design of elements and blocks on your page. To get started, **click any element in the preview pane** to select it. The sidebar will update to show editing options specific to that element, such as text layout, padding, margins, colours, background images, and sizes, so you can make precise adjustments as you build.

## Creating a page

To create a new web page:

1. Click **Website** in the left sidebar, then select **Pages**.

2. Click the **New page** button in the top-right corner of the **pages section**.

3. A template library will appear where you have the option to create a page from scratch or, choose a pre-defined, pixel-perfect template and customize it to fit your use case. See below for details.

4. Once you have chosen an option, a page will be created in draft, and you can start customizing it in the builder.

Clicking **New page** opens the template library, where you can create a page from scratch or choose a pre-defined, pixel-perfect template and customize it to fit your use case.

### Build a page using a template

To build a page using a template, hover over the one you’d like to use in the template library. You’ll have the option to **Apply** or **Preview** the template. Select **Preview** to take a closer look, and once you’re ready to proceed, click **Apply template** in the bottom-right corner of the preview to open it in the page builder.

If you’d like to select another template or start from scratch instead, click **Back to library** in the top-right corner of the preview.

### Design a page from scratch

To build a page from scratch, select **Start from scratch** in the top-right of the template library to open the page builder.

When you build a page from scratch, it’s important to start by selecting a block. Blocks consist of multiple elements that can be customized or removed to fit your needs. You can also add other elements to your block.

### Adding elements and blocks

Blocks are the foundation of your page. You can choose from multiple pre-designed modular content blocks or create a custom layout.

**Use a pre-designed block**

Start building your page by adding a pre-designed block that fits your needs such as a **Pricing** block, then customize its elements to match your brand, pricing structure, and messaging. You can also enhance any block further by adding new elements directly into it, giving you full control over your page’s layout and design.

To get started:

1. Click the **Blocks** icon in the left sidebar of the page builder.

2. Select the category that best fits the purpose of your page such as: Sales, Blog, or Homepage.

3. Click the preview of a block to load it in the page builder.

You can drag and drop additional elements into your block. Click the **Add elements** icon in the left sidebar and drag the element you’d like to add into the available spaces in the preview pane.

**Create a custom block**

Design your own custom blocks from the ground up, without relying on pre-built templates by combining Sections, Containers, Stacks, and Grids. This gives you the freedom to create layouts that fully reflect your brand, rather than adjusting your content to fit within preset structures.

Custom blocks also give you precise control over spacing and alignment, making it easy to fine-tune how elements appear on the page. Because they’re built with responsive design in mind, your layouts will adapt seamlessly across screen sizes, ensuring a polished experience on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

To get started with building a custom block:

1. Click the **Elements** icon in the left sidebar of the page builder.

2. Under layout, drag and drop a **Section** element onto the page.

3. Drag and drop a **Container** element into the section or, add a **Stack** or **Grid** to hold your content.

With the layout ready, you can drag and drop content such as headings, images, buttons and paragraphs into the placeholders. Similarly to adding elements into a pre-defined block.

### Editing your content

To customize the content of the block, select any element from the preview pane to reveal the options in the right sidebar editor.

The editor allows you to customize the content (button text, button links, headings, background images) and design (margins, sizes, padding, colours) of the elements in your page.

Any changes are automatically saved however, just to be sure click Save in the header menu once you’ve made your changes.

To quickly undo or redo a change, click the undo ↩️ or redo ↪️ icons in the header menu.

To access your page settings, click **Page settings (⚙)** in the life sidebar of the page builder.

The **Page settings** panel gives you full control over how your page behaves, looks, and who can access it online. Here, you can add an internal page name, set the visibility status, and define the access control options such as public, members-only, or specific access groups.

You’ll also find tools to fine-tune the layout such as hiding the header, optimize for search engines with custom slugs, title tags, and meta descriptions, and control how your page appears when shared on social media. For advanced customization, you can add custom code to the header or footer of your page.

## Manage site settings

Besides dedicated page settings, you can access the site settings right from the website builder. Click the **Site settings** icon in the left sidebar to open the settings panel and adjust these options directly. Note that this is essentially a shortcut to your community’s **Site** settings.

To view and revert to another version of your page:

1. Click **Version history** (🕔) in the header menu to open the version history dialog. Here, you’ll see a list of previous versions displayed in chronological order.

2. Select the version you’d like to revert to in order to preview it.

3. To restore that version, click **Restore** in the bottom-right corner of the dialog, then close the version history window.

The version you reverted to will load in the page builder. You can continue editing or click **Publish changes** to make this version live.

## Preview your build

Before you publish your page, it’s important to preview it to ensure your content looks great and functions properly across desktop, tablet, and mobile. A responsive design supports better engagement and search visibility.

The preview pane, updates in real time and gives you the option to switch between desktop, tablet and mobile view, light and dark mode, and adjust the zoom level.

To preview your page in full screen without any distractions, click **Enter fullscreen** (👁️) in the header menu. In the preview, you can toggle between **desktop, tablet, and mobile views** , publish your page, or go back to the page builder.
