Moderation helps you keep the conversation appropriate, on-topic, and within your set guidelines inside the community. Let’s take a deep dive into the feature to learn more about how it works!

Here’s what the moderation feature allows you to do:

- **Empower your community team:** Assign your team members as moderators to get help with administering and moderating the specific space and space group.

- **Keep community content on topic:** Utilize the built-in profanity filter feature as part of automated moderation to automatically remove inappropriate content that contains keywords set in the filter.

- **Set up automated moderation:** Configure various settings for reported, proactive, and space-specific moderation. This allows you to customize the moderation process based on your community's specific needs, ensuring that content is moderated effectively and efficiently.

- **Flag members for closer monitoring:** As an admin, [**flag**](/p/administration/moderation/flagging-a-member) specific members to automatically review their future posts and comments. While flagged, they’re also restricted from sending messages in chat spaces, direct messages, and live sessions.

- **Manually report content:** Everyone, including admins, moderators, and members, can report inappropriate content manually. This ensures that any content posted by members that violates community guidelines is promptly addressed.

## **Availability**

### Content moderation

The basic content moderation feature is available on all community plans, which includes:
