There are several ways to assign members as moderators in your community. Let’s explore each option:

- Assign moderators within a space group

- Assign moderators within a space

- Grant moderation privileges via the member profile

- Make someone a moderator when inviting them to your community

> 🔔 **Notifications:** Members will be notified via an in-app notification when assigned as a moderator of the space or space group.

## **Make someone a moderator when you invite them to your community**

When inviting new members to your community, you can assign them moderator privileges directly within the invitation setup.

When configuring access in the invite setup, enable the **Make moderator of spaces/space groups** toggle to grant[** moderator**](https://help.circle.so/p/administration/moderation) privileges.

- To grant moderation privileges to a space or space group, hover over their name in the **No moderation** column and click **Add** to move them to the **Moderation granted** column.

- If you selected the wrong space, you can remove the moderation privilege. Hover over a space or space group in the **Moderation granted** column and click **Remove**.
